Ravenous Slush Update

Hi everyone – Ariel Jade here again. We’re into the last month our submission window is open, and I’m here to give a quick update.

December was slow, but once we hit the new year, my inbox started seeing some action. I’m usually responding within 1-3 days, but keep an eye on my submission update page (http://www.ariel-jade.com/ravenous-submissions/) to find out where I am in the slush pile. You’ll either get a rejection or a hold notice–I’m waiting until the sub period ends to comb through the stories again with Cori and send out acceptances.

As for what I’m looking for, I’m still not accepting any horror! The story needs to be romance–two or more people falling in love/lust/like and ending up together at the end of the story. And vampires, of course. Since this is a vampire anthology. But actually, all the stories I’ve gotten have some form of vampire in them, so thumbs up there.

I’m holding a good variety of stories, so just about anything has a good chance of catching my eye if it’s well-written. There’s not a ton of kink, but I am holding a couple interesting ones, and there’s room for more. 3+ partners is light, too, but 2-person pairing are well-balanced across M/M, F/F, and M/F. And my hold folder has sweet up to erotic romance, so send it all.
